Elevate your quesadilla game with our seaweed quesadilla recipe, where layers of cheddar and jack cheese melt perfectly with chopped gimme seaweed between two golden tortillas.

Whether cooked on the stove or in the microwave, this quick and easy dish is perfect for a snack or meal, served with your favorite toppings like sour cream and salsa for an extra burst of flavor.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon butter, divided 

2, 10” flour tortillas

¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese 

½ pack Gimme Roasted Seaweed Snacks, chopped (we used Chili Lime)
¼ cup shredded jack cheese

Optional toppings

Sour cream

Salsa

Cilantro

Instructions

STOVE-TOP DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat a pan over low heat and melt ½ tablespoon butter to coat the pan.
  2. Place 1 tortilla in pan and top with an even layer of cheddar cheese, then gimme seaweed, then jack cheese, then 2nd
  3. Let cook for about 2-3 minutes until golden on the bottom.
  4. Use a spatula to pick it up while placing other ½ tablespoon butter in pan to melt.
  5. Flip the quesadilla over to get the other tortilla golden, this time covering the pan with a lid to melt the cheese.
  6. Once melted after about 2-3 minutes, remove from heat, let rest a few minutes and cut into 4-6 triangles.
  7. Serve toppings on top or on the side and enjoy!

MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS

  1. Place 1 tortilla on microwave-safe plate and top with an even layer of cheddar cheese, then gimme seaweed, then jack cheese, then 2nd
  2. Cook for 30-90 seconds, checking every 20 seconds or so, until cheese is melted.
  3. Once melted, let rest a few minutes and cut into 4-6 triangles.
  4. Serve toppings on top or on the side and enjoy!
