Indulge in a delightful twist on a classic treat with our sweet & salty seaweed Rice Krispy Treats recipe, combining gooey marshmallows and crispy rice cereal with finely minced gimme seaweed and a sprinkle of rainbow sprinkles.

These treats are easy to make and offer a unique balance of flavors, making them a fun and tasty addition to any dessert table.

Ingredients

8 tablespoons unsalted butter

8 cups mini marshmallows

1 pack Gimme Teriyaki Roasted Seaweed Snacks, finely minced

8 cups Rice Krispies cereal

1 cup rainbow sprinkles, divided

Instructions

  1. Option to prepare a 8x8 pan by lining it with parchment paper if desired.
  2. In a large bowl, microwave butter and marshmallows for 2-3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted and smooth.
  3. Stir in minced Gimme Seaweed.
  4. Add cereal and ½ cup sprinkles and, working quickly, stir together gently until evenly coated.
  5. Pour and lightly press the mixture into prepared pan. Don’t press it too hard, just top with the remaining ½ cup sprinkles and smooth out the top with your fingers or a spatula.
  6. Let them cool and cut into squares (we did 9 squares) to enjoy!
